Choose the hairstyle you want to preview
Start with one question: shorter hair, a different color, more waves, or bangs? Use the four hair controls in Design your new look. Each control also has a Keep option, so you can request one change without selecting a complete makeover.
| Setting | Choices to try | Decide before you submit |
|---|---|---|
| Hair length | Short, Medium, Long | How much length would you like to see? |
| Hair color | Black, Brown, Blonde, Auburn | Which color would you like to explore? |
| Hair texture | Straight, Wavy, Curly | Would you like a straighter, wavier or curlier look? |
| Bangs / fringe | Open forehead, Curtain bangs, Side-swept | How would you like the hair to frame your forehead? |
For example, to explore a different fringe, choose Curtain bangs and leave length, color and texture on Keep. To explore a broader change, choose a combination such as medium, brown, wavy hair with an open forehead. Review the selected combination before generating.
What a hairstyle preview can change
Leave skin tone, facial fullness, facial hair, eyebrows, makeup, glasses and clothing on their Keep settings when hair is the only change you want to explore. Presets and Surprise me can change several controls, so check every field if you use them.
A Keep setting is a request to preserve that feature, not a guarantee that every pixel will stay unchanged. Clothing and other details can vary in a generated portrait even when you request only hair changes. Compare the whole preview with the original. The example above deliberately selected a clothing change as well as hair changes; it does not isolate the effect of a hairstyle on the report’s scores.
What hairstyle suits me?
Choose a preview that answers a decision you are already considering. You might want to see how an open forehead looks, whether you prefer a softer outline, or how a new color changes the overall picture. Your own reaction to the image can be more useful than a score.
- Start with what you like now. Keep the color or texture you already enjoy and change one other setting.
- Think about daily styling. A generated image does not show the time, products or maintenance a real style needs.
- Use the result as a conversation starter. A stylist can assess whether the idea fits your current length, hair texture and condition.
This tool does not identify a single correct haircut or classify your face shape. The face shape guide explains how to think about photo outlines without treating them as a rule for your appearance.
Choose your first reference photo carefully
Your first photo sets the composition of the preview. Choose a recent, clear, fully clothed portrait of yourself with your face and hair visible. Leave room around your hair instead of cropping tightly at the forehead or sides.
Your new look accepts 1–5 reference photos. Additional photos should show you from other angles. They help describe the same person; they are not separate hairstyle requests or a way to upload another person’s haircut. JPG and PNG files up to 8 MB each are accepted.
Before you submit, check the photo order, choose your goal and read the consent options. Prepared photos are sent to Cloudflare, OpenAI and Google for the task. Read the privacy notice for storage and access limits.
What the $9.99 purchase includes
Your new look provides one generated preview image and one report for your selected appearance settings. The report includes photo feedback, practical suggestions, before-and-after subjective scores and AI-estimated audience comparisons. You can save the preview, and the paid report includes email delivery and a PDF copy.
Those comparisons are model estimates, not votes from people. A higher score is not guaranteed. Up to five reference photos still produce one preview image. There is no subscription; the final total, including any applicable taxes, appears at checkout.
AI hairstyle changer questions
Is the AI hairstyle changer free?
The hairstyle preview is part of Your new look, which costs $9.99 for one report and one generated image. The free Face rating plan gives photo feedback; it does not generate a hairstyle preview. Check the current availability and final total on the pricing page before buying.
Can AI tell me what hairstyle suits me?
It can help you visualize a combination and read subjective feedback about the result. It does not automatically classify your face shape or select a proven best haircut. Your own preferences, hair and everyday styling routine matter when you decide what to try.
Can I try several hairstyles with one purchase?
One Your new look purchase provides one generated image from one selected combination, plus its report. You can change your settings before submitting. Extra reference photos help show the same person from other angles; they do not increase the number of generated styles.
Can I upload a celebrity haircut as a reference?
The uploaded reference photos must show you. Use the hair length, color, texture and bangs settings to describe the look you want. This tool does not offer a named haircut library or copy another person’s hairstyle from a separate reference.
Will everything else in my photo stay exactly the same?
Keep options ask the model to preserve those features. The result is still a generated portrait, so details can vary. For a focused hair experiment, leave the other settings on Keep and inspect the whole preview before drawing conclusions.
